So, day after Christmas - pavlova, cheesecake and all manner of tasty yummy things in the fridge, and I decide I am on a diet and going to lose 20 kg this year. and save $6K.
Hmmm, so why the big decision? well, Lewis' Dad turns 60 next year and in his wisdom - decided that for his birthday he'd like to return to where he grew up - Rarotonga. And he'd like us all to go with him. Hence the $6K. and I would love to wear a bikini - for once in my life, apart from the snoopy I wore age 4. Hence the losing weight. Get it?
So figured i would blog my journey. In the slight off chance it turns out to be interesting at all.
Day one: I am following the "Healthy Food Guide" diet. Which means I make "mini-goals" and work on each goal before the next. Goal one is to drink 2l of water each day. I have been badly dehydrated over the past few weeks - hey, let's face it - months. So this should help a lot of headaches I've been having. Apparently coffee does NOT count.....bugger, cause there is 5 cups right there!
Will weigh in tomorrow - everyday or just once a week? Not sure. Will have to do some measurements too I think - once the small one is not camped in my bed so I can have a look for the measuring tape. Will get Lewis to take a pic too - and pixelate my face (to protect the innocent). Be warned however, I'm sure it will not be a pretty sight!
